Do you love outdoors activities in the mountains?
Come, and spend some time in our beautiful Robson Valley, you will not be disappointed.
With it’s three mountain ranges, the Robson Valley offers numerous activities and attractions all year round.
Hiking
The Robson Valley offers countless beautiful hikes for beginners to the more experienced.
Let’s start with:
Mount Robson Provincial Park and Area:
Mount Robson, standing at 3,954 metres, is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. The 23 km long Berg Lake Trail leads through some of the most stunning scenery. Kinney Lake, 4.5 km (with 100 m elevation gain) up this trail, is a beautiful hike for those who can’t go further towards Berg Lake. Stunning views already begin at the Mount Robson Visitor Centre and Café (a 10-minute drive from Bearberry Meadows), where you can gather trail maps and information for the Berg Lake Trail and take a short meadow stroll on the 15-minute interpretive trail walk, or hike the Overlander Falls trail loop.
A short 5-minute drive from Bearberry Meadows, followed by a 10-minute walk, brings you to beautiful views of the raging Rearguard Falls. If you are here between mid to late August, take some extra time to admire the stunning migration of the Chinook Salmon as they leap up the falls.
The Little Lost Lake hike is quite close to Bearberry Meadows. A short 2 to 3-minute drive, followed by a 45-minute hike, brings you to a secluded, pristine lake. A great place to sit and enjoy a picnic or hike further up the mountain side to get some lovely views of the valley.
Cranberry Marsh:
Near Valemount, this is a great place to stretch your legs on a short 20-minute walk to the two viewing towers, or to walk the entire 6 km marsh loop. Nestled in the shadow of the Cariboo, Monashee, and Rocky Mountain ranges, this is a beautiful natural reserve where one can enjoy walking, canoeing, and birdwatching in the peace and quiet.
The list goes on….

Two companies, both within a 10-minute drive of Bearberry Meadows, offer Whitewater rafting. Enjoy a gentle float trip down the Fraser, or a class 3 to 4 Whitewater thrill adventure. Whether rain or shine, this activity is always a blast!
